April Jean Bailey, age 36, of Nashua, New Hampshire, has been missing for more than one year. The last time anyone saw Bailey was on Jan. 15, 2020, the Federal Bureau of Investigation✎ EditSign said on Monday, March 15, in an appeal for the public’s help locating Bailey.
The circumstances around Bailey’s disappearance are “suspicious,” the FBI said.
Bailey has ties to Massachusetts and New York.
Bailey went missing while taking out the trash. On the evening of Jan. 15 last year, Bailey left her apartment, 45 Lynn St., carrying a bag of garbage and she has not been seen since, the FBI said.
At the time of her disappearance, Bailey was wearing slippers, black sweatpants, and a big black jacket with fur around the hood.
Bailey is white, about 5’3,” and weighs 130 pounds. She has long black hair and blue eyes, the FBI said. Bailey also has a butterfly tattoo on her right shoulder and a tattoo of the word “Damien” on her right ankle.
A representative for the FBI said any information about Bailey - no matter how seemingly small - should be reported to law enforcement.
“We are still relentlessly investigating the circumstances surrounding April’s disappearance, and any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, may be important to finding her,” said Joseph R. Bonavolonta, special agent in charge of the FBI Boston Division in a statement. “We thank those who have already provided information and we urge other members of our community to come forward so we can bring April home to her family.”
